LARPs at the MIT Assassin Guild

During college at MIT, I was an active member of the MIT Assassin Guild - a LARP (live action roleplaying) student group. I was in the game writing and GM team for a few games.

Nethack

An experimental, action-focused game based on the rogue-like game Nethack. Featuring liberal usage of disposable items, status conditions, and clock cycle mechanics.

Co-GM’ed with Victoria Vega and Edward Yang.

Perchance to Dream

An action-roleplaying game inspired by the board game Betrayal in the House on the Hill. Featuring blanket amnesia, heavy memory notebook mechanics, in-game goal acquisition, light combat, and of course, betrayals.

Co-GM’ed with Brogan King, Victoria Vega, Daniel Whalen.

Cloud 17

A trope-based roleplay heavy game. This is basically Inside Out the LARP game, except it predated Inside Out by 5 years.

Co-GM’ed with Paul Weaver, Shawn Westerdale, Nicolas Zehender.
